The greeting chamber in the Chairman Villa has a simple style of profound significance, the conference hall in the Executive Villa is beautiful and imposing and the international conference hall is modern and the lawn is spacious and comfortable. It is suitable for board meetings, signing ceremonies, press releases, small business meetings for honoured guests and outdoor exhibition activities.

The hotel has 8 villa style buildings with about 207 rooms of various types and specifications. The rooms are tall, spacious, elegant, beautiful and well-equipped. All of the rooms have a garden view or West Lake view.

There are a total of 9 restaurants here, so both Western and Asian food is available. The highlight is the Leadership Banquet, composed of some homely dishes, favoured by Chairman Mao and Comrade Chen Yun, as well as some exquisite dishes served in the state banquet, once offered to visiting foreign heads of states and VIPs including Dr. Kissinger, former Secretary of State of the United States and Helzog, former President of Germany. The dishes are both elaborately prepared and tasty. Famous dishes include Beggar's Chicken, Dongpo Braised Pork, West Lake Water Shield Soup and Steamed Soft-Shelled Turtle with Mutton.

The hotel is located at the foot of the hill famous for the former Leifeng Pagoda, offering one of the 10 best views of the West Lake.

Parking: The car park is located at the hotel and is free of charge. By Train: A taxi from the railway station to the hotel costs approximately RMB 20 (5 km). By Plane: A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs approximately RMB 100 (30 km, approximately 40 minutes).
